Re-imagining Food Security in the Age of COVID-19 Webinar
On October 29th, 2020, the Rhodes College Food Recovery Network hosted a webinar regarding food security in Memphis in the age of COVID-19. Memphis was one of the hungriest cities in the nation before the pandemic. The webinar addressed how local organizations have adapted to serve the Memphis community throughout COVID-19 and their visions for food security and food recovery initiatives moving forward.

Meet the Panelists:
Sally Heinz
Sally Heinz is the President and C.E.O. of the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA). MIFA provides services for both seniors and families in Memphis, promoting “independence, health, compassion, and dignity.”

Haley Scruggs is the Community Relations Manager of the Mid-South Food Bank. The Mid-South Food Bank is working to eliminate hunger in the Mid-South through their service across 12 counties in Tennessee, 18 counties in Mississippi, and one in Arkansas.
